Killers of the Flower Moon
Mini-review of Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann
This is one of those stories that seems too unbelievable to be true. Written with panache by Grann, this twists and turns through the maze that was early 20th Century, as a conspiracy that wasn't a conspiracy took control in the American mid-west.
This is yet another example of how to write a large, complex story. By telling it through the perspective of one affected family, and continuing that thread throughout the book, Grann is able to keep interest. It can be slightly overwhelming at times, with the number of names, but that's to be expected with the scale of the book.
A great non-fiction read.
